Anger Management

Learning to control our anger is a technique that many people overlook. We write the behavior off as being apart of the individuals personality. Honestly, anger is something that we can learn to control. Depending on the severity and the length of time you have suffered with anger control issues will determine the length of time it will take to assist you with learning to manage your anger.

Controlling your anger is a choice that you will have to want to change. Utilizing CBT (cognitive-behavior therapy) you will learn that our anger is embedded in our thinking. Therefore our therapist will teach you methods to assist you with changing the way you think about anger. Our therapist will also use mindfulness as a way to teach you to be more present in your thoughts, feelings, speech, and actions.

Learning to control your anger is not easy, but it is an important skill to learn. We must learn things in which we have control over and things in which we have no control. The loss of control is what usually leads to anger, therefore knowing what is controllable will help you learn to manage your anger. If you are having trouble controlling your anger, we encourage you to contact us, so that we can help you overcome this obstacle.
